Vegan planet and the meat and potatoes Vegetarian Cookbook is one of my favorite cookbooks of all time. I can always follow their easy to achieve results delicious recipes. Now, Robin Robertson it again! I'm enjoying my freshly far from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker Cookbook. I have just a week ago and have done Seitan Cacciatore, Spicy Black Bean Chili and Old Fashioned Vegetable Soup. I went and bought a beautiful Rival Oval Programmable Stainless Steel 5th 5 Quart Crock Pot. You can set the exact cooking time every half-hour to 20 clock and the temperature can be high, low or warm. The Crock-pot automatically switches to warm after cooking is finished, so you are not a burning concern. The digital countdown tells you how much time is left. The lid fits perfectly on the Crock-Pot and not allow air to escape, as some cheaper models. I recommend using this robust and easy to crock pot. Now back to the wonderful recipes! Seitan Cacciatore was very easy to make a hearty stew. We loved the subtle blend of flavors and the seitan is completely wet. I have the Spicy Black Bean Chili with less than ten minutes. The results were fabulous, dark spicy black bean chili with peppers, onions, chives and sweet jalapenos, surprisingly for such a mind numbing simple recipe. I eat at the Old Fashioned Vegetable Soup during the attack. This soup is so good and tender it just melts in your mouth. I'm busy a vegan absolutely loves to cook and this cookbook is a godsend. No longer do I want to rush home to cook and stayed in a grocery store on the busy street. Instead, I say what I do in the evening to go shopping after dinner, if it does not fit at all crowded and the ingredients easy to me. I pop the casserole in the refrigerator until bedtime. I leave the stove when I woke up not at home, so I've played on the bed and when I put the transfer of wonderful results for the refrigerator. You have all day to rest and tasty (most stews are better if time) to rest, then I warm up when I get home at night. It worked very well and the recipes are tempting. Now I can relax busy cooking on weekdays and I look forward to the trip to the store so no rush. I think that cooking Crock-Pot is a miracle. This cookbook is a huge market with 200 recipes for everything from appetizers, desserts, soups, stews, vegetables and everything else. All recipes are vegan alternatives to dairy products and most of them are obviously not from milk. You can not then give better results in both minimal effort, simple ingredients and good results. All the vegans and vegetarians should Fresh from the Vegetarian Slow Cooker by Robin Robertson a try!

I'm not new to cooking with all means, but I'm new to cooking slowly. I was looking for a crockpot cookbook includes vegetarian, kosher, would and / or low-fat or low-salt recipes. The last thing I wanted was a dozen ways to roast pork. This book fills the bill, in part, to the extent that the majority of revenues are healthy, even though no one seems to see how their salt intake. I know that this is not the purpose of the Cookbook, but it would be nice if alternatives are available.
Cooking times are gone. The book seems to have been written with much older or less powerful models in mind. The cooking time of dried black beans, for example, is 12 hours in advance. This is no less true – programmable), at least for my model (Rival, it took 4 hours on high. After high 12 hours, I would be ruined and the antenna may have been a fire hazard.
For example, the time to be updated in a hurry. The recipes are interesting and very creative. Personally, I do not want to do too much outside of the stove. I want to throw things into the pot, put to work, and many recipes are requirements of the satellite or cooking provisional, as some sautéeing. That does not bother me a bit, but not at the beginning of cooking. Who wants to fry the onions just before work?
A Slow Cooker is for people who go to work or elsewhere and want a meal ready when they return home. Even if additional work is sometimes necessary, we need it with too many of these recipes. When the cooking time can be adjusted to better correspond to reality, and adjusted the revenue to be better taken into account the needs of users, be my advice above.

    Ok, I love this book!
    * Almost all the recipes that give with dairy products or cheese, suggestions for a replacement more vegan diet.
    * The recipes are soooo easy to do. Most of the preparation of not more than 20 minutes.
    * They taste really great recipes (I add more salt – shame on me) and I've never really been so healthy, the breadwinner, and I make changes in my diet.
    * All recipes are soups and stews. Some recipes are really good, understood as the acorn squash stuffed, appetizers, bread and even – all in a pot made pot. Crazy. . . I do not know you can do it.
    * There is also a short section on deserts that you can make in the crockpot, and they are really good, too. I have the blue-berry cobbler and really liked it (the blue berries are good) for the brain and eyes – the crust was more like cake though.
    * There are some really good basics for beginners like me. Similar to soak / cook the beans fresh, 101 tips for crockpot cooking, or tips and tricks for better flavor.
    * New research could eat (in order to live, Dr. Mercola Total Health, etc.) shows that a diet you where most of your calories from fruits, vegetables, beans, and is by far the healthiest. , OK, perhaps common sense and do not take a book to understand. lol At least, this cookbook makes it easier target.
I only wish I bought the hardcover, because the cover is soft and deformed left open, because I felt so damn much. lol
    – For those who get this book. . . I especially love the Sloppy lenses except I added 2 cloves of garlic. Even non-vegetarian friends ask me to do that. It is so good!
